Legal
Acceptable Use Policy
The short version
Warp Gate is a tool for moving your own information between your own devices, or between you and someone who wants it. Do not use it to break the law or to harm anyone. Because everything is encrypted end-to-end, we cannot police what you send. That makes this policy a statement of your obligations, not a description of what we monitor.
You must not use Warp Gate to
- transmit, request or store any material that is unlawful where you are, where the recipient is, or where the Service is operated;
- transmit child sexual abuse material, or any material that sexually exploits or endangers a minor, under any circumstances whatsoever;
- transmit material that infringes copyright, trade mark, trade secret, patent or any other intellectual property right of another person;
- transmit material you are not authorised to disclose, including confidential, personal or regulated data belonging to an employer, client or third party;
- harass, threaten, stalk, defraud, extort, impersonate or endanger any person;
- distribute malware, ransomware, exploit kits, credential dumps, stolen data, or material intended to gain unauthorised access to any system;
- coordinate or carry out any criminal activity;
- evade a lawful order, sanction, or export control;
- attack, overload, scan, probe, or otherwise interfere with the Service or the infrastructure it runs on, including by attempting to exhaust rooms, exceed rate limits, guess gate codes, or disrupt other users' sessions;
- resell, rebrand, or operate the Service as if it were your own;
- automate the Service at a scale that degrades it for others.
Enforcement, and its honest limits
We cannot read the content of any session, so we cannot detect a breach of this policy by inspecting what you send. What we can do, and will do where we consider it appropriate or where we are legally required to, is:
- rate limit, block or refuse service to a network or address;
- destroy sessions, reduce limits, or suspend the Service entirely;
- cooperate with a valid legal process to the extent we hold anything responsive, which, as set out in the Privacy Policy, is normally nothing.
A breach of this policy is a breach of the Terms of Use, and you remain fully liable for it whether or not it is ever detected.
Reporting
To report abuse, contact warpgate@fysh.site. Please include the time and the nature of the problem. Note that we cannot retrieve, decrypt or produce the contents of any session, because we never hold them.
